A pre-sale period for UFC 134 tickets begins today, and the general public can purchase tickets beginning Friday.

UFC president Dana White today announced the on-sale dates at a pre-event media conference in UFC 134′s host city: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

A total of 16,752 tickets will be available for the August event, which takes place at HSBC Arena as Brazil’s first UFC event in 13 years.

UFC 134 takes place Aug. 27. The night’s pay-per-view main card, including a middleweight title fight between champion Anderson Silva and challenger Yushin Okami, airs on pay-per-view. However, the entire card airs for free in Brazil.

HSBC customers can purchase tickets beginning tonight at 8 p.m. BRT local time (7 p.m. ET). The general public then can purchase tickets on Friday at 11:30 p.m. BRT Tickets range from $163 to $1,000 (U.S.).

HSBC Arena traditionally holds about 15,000 for sports events, though it’ll max out a little larger for UFC 134.

“We’re going to take this thing not only to Rio but all over Brazil,” said White, who announced UFC Fight Night events also will be held in the country in addition to the pay-per-view events. “This is a great market for us.”
