Lyoto promises surprises at UFC on FOX

August 4, 2012

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Lyoto Machida is slatted against Ryan Bader on the co-main event of UFC on Fox 4, event scheduled for this Saturday (4th), in Los Angeles, United States.

On the same card, actually on the main event, there is Mauricio “Shogun” Rua dueling with Brandon Vera, and Dana White said that the one who performs better is the one who will get a title shot against the winner of the fight between Jon Jones and Dan Henderson.

Both athletes have been defeated by the current champion Jon Jones and met twice before. Each one got one win. On the pre-fight press conference, Lyoto analyzed Bader and promised to surprise everyone.

“I know he had some back-up at Karate, but it doesn’t matter to me. I’m going to focus on my game. I haven’t changed my mind. I prepared a lot for this fight, I have many techniques but it depends on what Bader will bring to the table. I don’t know what’s going to happen but I want a great performance and maybe I’ll surprise you on Saturday”, said Lyoto, aware that eventually he will have to confront Shogun again.

“I guess it’s a great opportunity for the both of us and this trilogy will have a proper ending one way or another”, finished “The Dragon”.
