‘Countdown to UFC 140′ tonight on Fuel TV

December 2, 2011

“UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida” may just be a little too good to wait.

Although FUEL TV was originally expected to debut “Countdown to UFC 140″ next week, the new broadcast partner of the UFC has moved up the first airing of the traditional pre-event preview to tonight at 9 p.m. ET.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is currently focused on wrapping up the 14th season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” but the promotion transitions to Toronto next week for UFC 140, which features a light heavyweight title fight between current champ Jon Jones and top contender Lyoto Machida.

“UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida” takes place at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.

In addition to the night’s main event, the pay-per-view main card also features a heavyweight contest between former UFC champion Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, as well as a light heavyweight matchup between Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and former champ Tito Ortiz.

Replays of “Countdown to UFC 140,” the UFC’s traditional event-preview show, are currently scheduled to air on FUEL TV on Dec. 7 (10 p.m. ET), Dec. 8 (1 a.m. ET and 4 a.m. ET) and Dec. 9 (8 p.m. ET).
