Carlos Rocha wants to fight at UFC 146

March 6, 2012

Carlos Eduardo Rocha got to the United States this year but already feels at home. Training at BLackhouse, the athlete who used to live in Germany saw his dream coming through as he joined the team filled with many Brazilians. In America since January, the fighter only started training last Tuesday (28th) because he was in California at his brother’s gym before that.

“The trainings here are hard, there are great fighters here. There’s a reason why Ed Soares (manager) made his name here. Only the bests are here. There’s Rafael dos Anjos, Diego Nunes, Paulo Bananada and Anderson (Silva). It’s a team that only brings you good things. It was everything  I ever wanted out of life: train in a big team like this one. If I die today, I’ll die happy”.

Healed from a a surgery on his elbows, the middleweight, who hasn’t fought since February 2011, believes his dream of coming back to the octagon will be on May 26th, at UFC 146.

“I’m 100 percent healed, training twice, three times a day. I don’t feel any pain, not even in my shoulder or elbows. I guess it’ll be alright for my next fight. I’m hungry. Maybe i fight on UFC in May, which there are vacancies left”.
